Hennepin County
 Hennepin County was incorporated in 1852. Its largest city is Minneapolis, the county seat. Hennepin has the largest population of Minnesota's 87 counties with about 22 percent of the state's estimated 2002 population and ranks 15th in the nation in population. It has the highest average household income in the state and a broad-based economy with strong trade, service, and manufacturing sectors. Employment is relatively stable, and the unemployment rate is consistently below the state and national averages.
